Kate started working the overnight shift at ABC News headquarters in New York City in April of 2009; the same day she began the part-time graduate program at Columbia’s Journalism School.

For three years, Kate had the pleasure of working with the teams at ABC News who work around the clock to provide live coverage and news programming. One of her most memorable posts was serving as an anchor assistant to Cynthia McFadden. Cynthia’s prowess as a journalist and commitment to empowering other women pushed Kate forward in her career in a way she will always be grateful for.
